:D we should get an autopost for everytime someone mentions "sub", this pops up:

"For that kind of cash have you checked out the offerings from www.hsuresearch.com and www.svsubwoofers.com "

(or at least if they list their location as within the USA/Canada)

Looking at the SVS, the svs cabinet design is too damn heavy compare to the little velodyne spl-1200R. SVS sub ultra, plus...etc... may produce awesome powerful bass, but I'm not sure about the sound quality here. Velodyne spl really have a very tight bass w/ no distortion (minimum) plus it has remote control which is very useful !

The SVS subs will have less distortion then the Velodyne. Theres no such thing a a subwoofer thats too heavy. People like to generalize SVS as subs that go low but are not tight. From all the data I have seen, its a bogus statement.

Oh, well. IAs similarly in car world, I would pick the compacted M3 or 911 over the Corvette IMO :). Is it a closed comparation ?!
Anyway, I will try to listen to any SVS ultra/plus series before I can get a sub otherwise it's hard to pick one at the moment.
