I found a used velodyne FSX-12 on craigslist for $300 and I am wondering if this will be a good sub for my system. I have a B&K AVR202 reciever with infinity kappa 6.1 fronts and QE rears. The room is about 15x15 with an 8 foot ceiling and another attached space that is about 12x10 with the 12" side open to the main room and filled with 2 tall bookcases. The primary purpose for the system is movies but it gets a decent amount of background music use as well. I want a sub that will really control the room and be felt in movies but i like very tight clean bass with no boominess. The sealed servo driven 12" seems like it should provide what im looking for. Any thoughts and is this a good deal, how would it compare with an svs pb10nsd or something similar to that?
