Velodyne CHT15-R and Axiom EP500

Axiom EP500 result:
-the Axiom EP500 produces great SPL in a "clean" manner ... no boominess
-I wish this had a remote control, I got tired from standing up and down and walking to and from the sub to my chair. so what I did was leave the EP500 on and "mute" the 15R in the middle of the movie scenes.
-tested in "FULL" mode, sometimes in "HALF" mode
-the 500 can rumble the ceiling joists (it seems to have a frequency that can rumble the ceiling hoist even at low volume)
-it has incredible driver excursion, next to the 15R, the 15R seems like it was off.
-it passed the layman's subwoofer test #2 with flying colors -> the pant flap test

Velodyne CHT15-R
-dismal driver excursion, perhaps because of the 15" size, it doesn't really need to move that much. the driver push test confirms that it doesn't have a big excursion.
-it produces incredible SPL and this one trounces the layman's subwoofer tests #1 and #2 -> the chest kick and pant flap test
-the remote is a great help
-one on one it beats the 500 when watching U-571
-as expected, this one is boomy when compared to the 500 (but I come from a car subwoofer background, so that I like)

Conclusion for U-571
I say that they both have their advantages and disadvantages - im not stupid - im not gonna pick one and dump the other! I turned them both on and was in BASS heaven.

note: the CHT15-R is equivalent to the DLS-5000R in north america
my room is at least 2600 cu. ft. in volume
both subs in left front corner
no level matching YET
no blind test
U-571 DTS demo disk watched over and over and over and over using different subs and combos

I've heard of worse ways to kill time....:p Are you going to try different placements? Maybe one in the front corner one in the back. You may send me the EP500 for further testing...;)
