V2500 on screen display

can the yami v2500's OSD function w/ component cables or will i have to run an extra compsite or s-vid connection?

I read that the denon 2805 will run the OSD via component but I havent heard anything about the v2500 being able to. I have actually read that since the signal for the OSD is 480i that I will have to run a compsite connection w/ the Yami. Is this true?

I am a few days away from getting either a v2500 or a denon 2805. just a few last minute things i want to figure out.

I have a Yamaha RX-V2400, and I run everything through the component video, so I would think you would go the same way there. If you let the receiver do all the work with switching the video sources, there shouldnt be any problems that I can think of at the moment.

I have the 2400 mated up with the Athena AS-F2 towers, and it sounds great to my ears.

Yes it will run the OSD thru the component cables.
