Using the new Emotiva XPA-5 with Pioneer 84TXI?

I have a 1 yr. old Pioneer Elite 84 TX receiver. Due to cost over runs on our house I had to sell my Outlaw 990 Pre/Pro and Sherbourn 7/2100A. My question is this. Can I use the Pioneer with the New Emotiva XPA-5 or would it be a waster of a good amp? I have a new Panasonic PT200UX Projector setup but haven't hooked up the receiver. I sold my Aerial 7b's and am now using two pairs of ADS SAT700's, Aeiral CC3B center and an Outlaw LFM-1 plus. Would the amp be overkill for 90% video and HT use? Thanks for any imput. I guess I'm just anxious to see what the Emotiva LPA-2 will be like.........

how do you like your setup now? Is the sound lacking? The 84 being their flagship version then, has good amps. I dont know if your speakers are demanding, and how much headroom you would gain?

The Pioneer would be a great preamp, but as bandphan mentioned the Pioneer might be enough depending on your speakers (I cannot find the specs for them at the moment, or any information at all (even when they where made).

Thanks guys. I guess I'm just missing my separates too much. Course I also had beasts for speakers. Frankly, the A/D/S Sat700's mesh perfectly with the Aerial CC3B and the sound is excellant. Movies are great! But if we could be that easily satisfied, how would this obsession we all have continue???? Actually, I've had the big Rotel RSX 1067, Denon 3805 and Yamaha RXV-2700 and I definitely think the Pioneers sounds and operates the best. I was just drooling at the Emotiva amp(specs & price) and wondering.....:D
