Using Paradigm Studio 100's as surrounds

Greetings. I have a question that I need some input on. I am currently using Paradigm Studio 100 v3's for my mains, a Paradigm cc570v3 center and Paradigm ADP 470v3's for surrounds. I also have a Paradigm Servo 15. My system is powered by the new Denon 5805. I have modest room treatments from Auralex installed as well. This set up is very pleasing for HT use, but is underwelming for 5.1 stereo listening. My question is can I use Studio 100v3's as surrounds to improve my DVD audio and 5.1 stereo experience and also have this configuration work well for HT? Has anyone else done this. Can I have my cake and eat it too?

There's no rule against that. In fact, if you're doing SACD listening, you're supposed to use 5 identical speakers. So, if you like the sound of the 100s on surround, why not! As long as you have the space, and budget, you should be fine. And with that 5805, you'll have MORE than enough power. You must be a very proud person...

LOL! You could place one of the Studio Reference 100's on top of your TV, wouldn't that be something!

Ohmage.

You can also set up your rear pair of 100v3s as surround "A" and your pair of ADP 470v3s as surround "B". You can then use surround "A" for music, and either "A" or "B", or both "A" and "B", for theater. I've always wanted to hear 5 full-range speakers do multi-channel music.
