Using an Optical cable switch

I have an older reciever that only has 1 optical input. I found an optical switch that will allow me to connect up to 3 inputs to my reciever. My questions are:

1. Will I lose any audio quality going through the switch?
2. Do you know who makes a good one? I have only been able to locate one so far and I want to get a quality unit.

thanks in advance!!!

Technically you shouldn't be able to loose quality this way. Its light carrying packets of data. Data can not be altered like a analog signal. Its either working or its not.
I have seen a couple of posts about a optical switcher on Monoprice.
I don't have a personal opinion on this device because I have never used it myself. But like I said I have READ good things about it.

Hope this Helps.
