Hello fellow members,

I have a Adcom 535 power amp which has speaker a and b options. I wanted to use the power amp to power my front speakers. I want the mission mx5 for movies and morduant short for music.

I cauurently have a 7.2.4 setup which comprises of below.,
Marantz sr7011
Adcom gfa 7000
Adcom gfa 535

Currently using mission mx5 as front channel for the movies. I have another pair of morduant short fs which i wanted to use for music listening. My question is can i connect both the speakers with adcom 535 and switch speaker a and b whenever i want to listen music?

That's what A/B selections are for, to use separately two different pairs of speakers....they're generally not good at playing them simultaneously, though, depending on the total impedance load. Your Marantz I believe also has a mode to switch between two different sets of L/R speakers, altho that setup would be better with a 4 channel amp I'd think (or just use the built-in amps).

I do not want to use the marantz internal amp. My adcom gfa 535 is 60 watts per channel. Whereas the adcom 7000 is 135 watts per channel. But only 535 has the speaker selector.
