Used Sunfire Sub MK II or New Sub?

Should I pick up a used (good condition) Sunfire Sub MK II or a new sub, something like a Hsu VTF-2 MK 2 (or MK3) (or maybe an SVS PB10-NSD)? I have MA RS6 fronts and MA RS1 rear. The prices would be approximately the same ($400-500)

Thanks.

As long as you can test the sub and see that it works, I'd go used. Better bang for your buck, you know. Everything I own is used. It's gotten me screwed a couple times on eBay, but then again I wasn't being careful enough. :D

Sunfire subs are more about wow factor. "Ooh, the woofer moves a lot!" That is about all it does. I owned one and it does not represent a good value IMO even at half price. They are small, but the bass is to sloppy. The Sunfire subs are extremely difficult to place and have uneven responce. It could be just me, but I don't think they are very good. Lastly, they hum all the time!!

I would go with an SVS or HSU. I had an HSU STF-2 and it blew the Sunfire truesub away, albeit the HSU will be bigger it still sounds much better.:)
