Used AV123 Reference 1's and matching center thoughts?

I'm seeing a set of 4 of these bookshelves and matching center asking $600. I remember seeing good reviews on these. Any thoughts for my medium/large living room?

I have a newer medium quality marantz receiver and diy 1kw 15" dayton subwoofer to compliment. 50/50 music/ht

IIRC, some of Reference 1's were about $1000 a pair. If so, $600 for a 5.0 system could be a good deal, depending upon their condition of course. Might be worth checking out.

I think the sound quality was considered "okay" during they heyday with better options at their price point. However the big selling point were the very high quality cabinet finishes.
