USB Sound Card

Hey, just wanted to see what your thoughts are on whether it would be worth investing in a USB (external) sound card? I have fairly powerful laptop with an integrated sound card that I use to play games on. If you think I'd be worthwhile, could you recommend any for me? Also I'd like to keep it under $100.

What speakers you have now which connected to your laptop?
This is help determine if adding usb audio card will be worthwhile...
Don't get carried away spending $100 on this card, if your speakers cost less than $100 ...

I know that there are people who swear by the inexpensive behringer usb dac that BSA recommended. It's cheap and it seems like it works. That said, if you have a revealing sound system, you could try the HRT musicstreamer II. I just bought the HRT Music streamer II, and I love it, it work perfectly out of the box, no installation required.
