I recently bought mac pro which requires usb c to hdmi. Plz recommend a brand which can provide me 4k@60hz. I have been reading a lot on Anker but with lot of device failure reviews. Thanka

3rd party cable adapters are very hit n miss. They've gotten better with iPhone cables, but that's a simpler design. But if you're reading reviews of failure, don't buy it!

I'd recommend just buying the Apple cable. Belkin also produces reliable cables for Apple products as an alternate that can be cheaper.

which mac book did you get that doesn't have an hdmi connection?
I'd be interested to see what else it has/doesn't have.

you are correct about just a thunderbolt port. I haven't been keeping up with the Joneses on my macbook features. the apple supplied adapters are excellent. I have just about all of them including the USB C to HDMI. I have had zero issues with the genuine Apple dongles or adapters (mostly purchased at the apple store).

Like someone else mentioned, the cheap crap from who knows where may give you failures.
Thanks for the education. I learn something every day

I don't have pear branded devices nor 4k monitor(s). I could tell you that at $18 you're gambling with very little compared to MANY members who bought very expensive audio/video items based on forum regulars recommendation.

Further, then that, you have Amazon reviews. You could check their quality here: https://www.fakespot.com/
And lastly, I have used previously other Pluggable brand converters with great success.

Hope this answers your question
