Steven Seagal, anyone?

Yes...it's true.....I'm a bit of a sucker for Seagal movies:) In recent years more of his direct to DVD works are more bad than good, but........ I really enjoyed this one!! I classify this as being a "Pleasant surprise" compared to his many recent movies.

My 2 cents.... Seagal got his old school "mojo" back for this title. As he's gotten older, his roles have generally gone a little soft for his staple macho tough man roles, but not in the above.

He's as mean/nasty as ever and kicks some serious @ss in this one...LOL I thought the pacing was good and I was generally interested from beginning to end. This "REVENGE" movie was true to Seagal form.....

thumbs up.....

Yeah, well he kinda had to do something because he was basically becoming a joke. Kinda like Friday the 13th part 100... When I saw him in whatever his last straight to video movie was, I was thinking "Great, he has turned into another fat Baldwin."

Seriously, I have no life.

Yes, I was thinking this as well, terrible shape.

He started doing very BAD environmentally-conscious films. The one that absolutely KILLED his career in my opinion was On Deadly Ground where he went into some oil company, killed like tens of security guards (who, if this were real-life, presumably all had families) all in order to "take down" the "evil" corporation that was polluting the local Alaskan environment.

Now, pollution is bad, but I think that killing a couple dozen armed security guards who are simply doing their jobs (protecting the facility) is a bit skewed... If that movie were real, Segal would have been considered a terrorist and executed, and the victims families would have been plastered all over the TV.

Where Segal ruled was in the fact that he actually knows how to use a gun. Look at how he holds and fires it compared to some of the more "I'm getting my manicure this afternoon" Hollywood actors.

I totally agree....... that movie was very bad. I can't say that I enjoyed seeing Seagal go all environmental on me with so many of his movies. On the flip side......I really liked "Fire Down Below". I thought that movie was a real hoot!! :D
