He started doing very BAD environmentally-conscious films. The one that absolutely KILLED his career in my opinion was
On Deadly Ground where he went into some oil company, killed like tens of security guards (who, if this were real-life, presumably all had families) all in order to "take down" the "evil" corporation that was polluting the local Alaskan environment.
Now, pollution is bad, but I think that killing a couple dozen armed security guards who are simply doing their jobs (protecting the facility) is a bit skewed... If that movie were real, Segal would have been considered a terrorist and executed, and the victims families would have been plastered all over the TV.
