Im looking at adding a upscaling player to my crt from projector. The 1270 is curently conected with an RGB cable from a line doubler. Can anyone direct me to and adaptor to connect the two. Or should I just keep using the line doubler.. Thanks in advance!

Most likely with the older CRT, even if it can accept line doubling, it is best I think if the line doubler is used instead of trying to send a progressive scan rate. But, you could try it by bypassing the doubler.

Very few upconverting DVD players will output upconverted video over anything but HDMI or DVI. These are pure digital signals and can't be sent to your projector 'legally'. If you do some searching, you may find solutions to this.

Instead, you may want to consider a better scaler which would likely do a better job for you on all video inputs.

I did a google on this projector. There was one for 1270Q, not much info. and a 1271. That said it would accept 1080i and 720p.
A DVD player will pass that on a component cable, so you certainly could try it.

This is not correct. No legal DVD player will upconvert over any connection except DVI/HDMI. Which is the main issue I think.

Well, that is just so. I had a PS3 over for a demo. Component output and the tv was reading 1080i or 720p input signal being received. But, you need to go to HDMI for the 1080p. That simple. Even the manual indicates what signal is accepted on what input. And, it is a legal DVD player and PS3 player.
