Upgrading receiver, looking for input

I'm currently looking to upgrade my receiver as I have a 6 year old yamaha that doesn't do HDMI. I will be using a PS3 for blu-ray and CDs, have a 1080i TV, klipsch RS speakers and a powered sub. I can't spend more than 400 so I am looking at buying something used. I found a deal for a yamaha v-1600 for $350 and thought that sounded like a pretty awesome deal. It is an old receiver and can't decode the newer formats but I won't need that since the PS3 can do it for me. Can anyone think of a reason I should not jump on this? Any other ideas for a receiver in this range that would be a better deal? I can't spend anything over $400. Thanks!

$350 for the 120w x 7 1600 sounds almost too good to be true. Its list was $1100 so retail was probably around $850.

If you go for it, try to make sure you can return it if something is wrong w/ it.

Yeah, I kinda thought that too. It is from an individual. He says the receiver is in mint condition and he is just upgrading to a bigger receiver. I don't think returning is going to be an option but I am definitely planning on listening to it and making sure everything works before I purchase.
