I am currently running a 7.2 system in a 25x20 foot room with a 10 foot high ceiling. My receiver is an Integra DTR 50.1 that i have been pleased with. I am looking at the new Onkyo tx-nr929 and I have been toying with the idea of getting the top of the line tx-nr5010 which retails for more than twice as much. The features side by side look pretty similar except for the power and amplification section. 145 at 0.05% THD for the 5010 and 135 at 0.08 THD for the 929. Those numbers dont seem that much different but hopefully someone can shed some light on why the 5010 cost so much more. I don't mind spending the extra money if the sound will be noticeably different. I am using Polk rti series speakers with Rti 10's for the front Csi 5's in the center and Rti 1's for the surrounds if that helps.
