Hi all, question. I've been looking to upgrade my front 3 speakers. I currently have SVS "S" Series MTM center channels as L/C/R. I got them on closeout, and for the price, I've been very impressed with their performance.
But upgrade-itis has set in and I'm looking to upgrade. I've got a few options I'm considering, but I was wondering about using the new SVS Ultra Series Center on its side as a L/R monitor. It features a vertically stacked mid/tweeter arrangement, will that cause any issues when turned on its side? I did a calculation assuming 4" mid/tweet separation, and in my living room a one-half wavelength interference will occur at 44,000 hz, way above the audible range.
Anyone have any experience with doing this? I'm also considering GR Research N3S for my front three. If there are any other MTM configurations in the $1500-$2000 price range, please feel free to suggest them.
I have an SVS SB13 sub and will add a second, so no worries on the bass regions.
Thanks,
Jon
