Hello. I am one of the many that started with a HTIB. Now I'm not so sure my HTIB sounds much better than my television speakers!!!! I am now looking to upgrade but I am a little lost in this sea of options. I have about a 2000 dollar budget for speakers alone and am having trouble finding something that will work well for that price range. I can't seem to make heads or tails of the different specs. There is just way too much information out there and not enough knowledge on my end. The problem really seems to stem from contradictory knowledge that I find.
As I have lived in a 32 floor apartment complex I already have a Panamax m5100-pm power conditioner and will be using my ps3 to play my games/ movies/3d content. I will also be looking for a receiver that will be good for at least ten years to come with the ability to choose speakers you do and don't want to play as there will be additional speakers for the wifey in other rooms and it must have airplay built in. Any advice from here would be a GREAT help.
