I just got my Bic H-100 last night and hooked it up and all I have to say is wow. As a little background I had a panasonic htib for about 3 years then just got a new H/K reciever and a pair of polk r50's. After adding the Bic I dont konw why I ever bought a htib, for about the same money I could have had a very nice audio system. I'm sure with some tuning and dialing in it will sound even better. Thanks to everyone for helping me with this purchase.

That's what we are here for... I talked a friend out of getting a HTiB system for an entry level Yamaha receiver, and some Polk R15 front and surrounds, a CSi25 center, and a Dayton 10" sub... it sounds waaaaay better than a HTiB system of the same cost would have sounded. All in all she spend under $550, and that includes speaker stands, and wiring.... I'm such a bargain shopper.

I'm with you GlocksRock bargain shopping is the way to go. In all I will have about $700 in mine and will deffinately sound way better than most htib. Its almost like a game to me to try to find the best deal lol.
You just dont feel/hear what you are missing til you get one its amazing. Unfortunately I wont be able to play it anywhere near its potential since I live in a studio apartment and the neighbors don't like things falling off there walls.

The best deal has nothing to do with cash. The best deal IMO is finding speakers that every time you hear them play, you are amazed at what you hear.

And the fun part about this hobby is no matter what budget you have. There is always choices to choose from. :D

I completely agree I have a pretty low budget and I know what I have is not the best but it makes me smile...well at least til I go listen to someone elses and have to start upgrading.:D
