Upgraded my Athena Point 5 system, need a sub recommendation

So I jumped into the home-theater world this past December after using a set of Logitech Z680 computer speakers as an HTiB for nearly 2 years. Although they worked fine for Dolby Digital and DTS decoding, they didn't produce the "cleanest" sound in the world.

Anyway. I came home on Boxing day with a Pioneer VSX-D814 and an Athena Point 5 MKII SE system. I've been very happy with it, but was recently bitten by the upgrade bug and purchased a set of Athena AS-B2's and an AS-C1 center channel to finish off the 7.1 system.

Now everything sounds great, but I feel like I'm missing some low-end "oomf". I've experimented with setting the crossover frequencies and speaker sizes on my receiver but I think its time to upgrade the subwoofer. Any suggestions?

Also, as I upgrade my living room, I'm building a secondary system for my computer room. I currently have a used JVC receiver, a pair of Sony studio monitors (I almost like these better than the AS-B2's), and the Athena C.5 center. I'd like to move the Athena subwoofer to this room and get some decent surround speakers to finish off the 5.1 setup here.

Ideas?

.....Silver, SVS is going to continue to prosper no matter what is said on audio sites, but I encourage you to look at their entry-level box sub for $429....this sub is "front-firing", which I prefer for the cleanest oscillations heard and felt....the next stop for front-firing concerning SVS boxes is the top of the line at $2499....you can get two of the entry-level boxes shipped to you for right at a grand or a little below possibly, and have one in each corner of your front/TV end of your Home Theater....just a suggestion....do what you gotta'.....

...Crazy looking...
Seems a bit big though. I guess I should have stated that this is going into a fairly small listening room, approximately 12'x15', so I don't need anything monsterous. Just something that would blend well with my other speakers.

.....Buck, I had a pair of 16-46's in the tv end, and they were mighty tuff on DVD's....but they seemed tuned TOO low, for CD's....then I got these front firing boxes, and it's done, on both DVD's, and CD's, with the CD's having a bright top to the subs....

.....Silver, that part of Pearl Harbor when the map was being shown and ship models were floating in water simulating the American ships, was amazing with the 16-46's....hard to go wrong with SVS.....

Any idea if there are any Canadian b&m shops that cary SVS subs? I've been having a hard time finding anything locally. I assume shipping would be pretty expensive on a 50LB subwoofer...

Any other suggestions? What's the general opinion of Velodyne subs?

No Canadian B&M's carry SVS (yet). HSU does have some Canadian distributers and the prices are right on par with those in the US. Just go to hsuresearch.com and look over the subs. Some really nice stuff. Then just email them and ask for the contact info for the Canadian distributor. The distributor will give you your local dealer's contact info. I used to have all this info but I recently got rid of it. Sorry about that.

Does anyone have any opinions of the Paradigm PW-2100 Subwoofer? My local audio shop is recommending this to me above anything else.

Point 5 system
ASP-300
Velodyne DPS-10
