hi,
the upgrade bug has bit me and i am confused, need help, have a very basic home theater set up (old rxv430 yamaha amp, wharfedale moviestar speakers),
getting a good deal on wharfedale evo30 signature series, and planning to go for marantz 5006 amp.trouble is very few people know about these speakers, so not many opinions.....getting them for about 1000$ for a pair..should i go ahead or look for other speakers...
thanx in advance.

I tend to take most reviews with a few grains of salt. I have some good speakers,
that only a few would know a lot about.
MusicDirect has a 30 day return policy - and less than $1000

dont know if they are same one, what i saw/heard were signature series...

The main difference is the cabinet finish - other than that, pretty much
the same.
apart from the price difference, do you think they are good speakers judging by the specs, i am also getting a good deal on the evo50 also, you think i should spend a little more (450$) and buy once and for all evo50, considering i am thinking of buying marantz 6006 amp?
thanx

It has been awhile since I have listened to a Wharfedale speaker.
The word on the EVO series is good. Also the word on them is, that
they slightly favor the warm side - and somewhat lacking in detail
and definition. I would go back and play your own music, to check
them out one more time - then make your final decision. Also, the
Marantz is a good receiver. Good Luck!
