Upgrade to Plasma

Hey Guys,

I have the itch and really want to purchase a Samsung 50" Plasma PN50A450 but wonder if I will be disappointed once I install it and it doesn't look any better than my current 51" Hitachi 51F510 Projection TV (4 years old now) . I'm happy with the Hitachi but want better HD viewing. I have seen a sharp aquos 42" in HD broadcasting can say it's definitely better than my Hitachi.

Has any one done comparisons to a TV similar to the Hitachi and can give some input I would appreciate it.

The plasma should give you significantly better image quality for most sources, especially HD. However, I would strongly suggest taking a look at the Panasonic models in that price range as the offer better black levels and over all contrast. Pioneer would be a great set to look into as well.

In any case, you will notice an upgrade.

+1 Check all of your options, as a few hundred dollars can make difference in PQ and overal benefits... Good Luck
