The rich uncle will be the only way that I would be getter better speakers. That or the lottery. It would take that much more money to hear a substantial improvement in sound to make the upgrade viable.

Right now I'm addressing the acoustic short comings of my room. I've constructed some sound absorption panels, 2'x4' that I will hang on the walls at the 1st reflection point on the wall with respect to the listening position.

While there are always new things coming out that I want, I'm completely happy with my system right now.

the only changes may be upgrading/relocating the display in the theater to a larger one so i can have a plasma in my other rooms if they need replacing.

Working stiff with some money to spend

I want new now but I am having a very hard time making up my mind. I just want to make sure that I don't find stuff better a year after I make my mind up.
