Oh man, you shouldn't have bought a Denon. Those units SUCK!!! Oh well, I guess it's too late now that you have paid for it.

(gotcha!) I'm no Denon pro but if you have done your research and have made good comparisons with other products and YOU are happy with it then it's the right decision. ;)

So, you upgraded your 85 watt 7.1 AVR to an 85 watt 7.1 AVR, and you want everyone to know what brand of speakers you have.

I'll soon have a detailed response to this, right after I get back from my fishing trip..... going trolling.

STOP! Before you make anymore mistakes, no offense. What are your requirements? Either the Denon/Onkyo receivers will work fine in a small/medium environment. For starters, the Onkyo amp is not required/necessary/compatable to run the Bose AM6 system. If you return anything it should be the Onkyo amp AND the Bose system. A better speaker system to purchase would be HSU Ventriloquist/STF-2: http://www.hsuresearch.com/products/performance2.html

I'm still missing something.
Why did you go from the Onkyo to the Denon?
The Onkyo 602 is a decent receiver. Was there something missing?

He thought he needed pre-outs to run the amp and the Bose AM6 system. The Bose system will work with the receiver,, but it won't perform as well as other systems for the same price if you don't want/have to sell it right away.

thanks

I just want a better sound. onkyo was fine but seem like the center speaker sound dull. i try to tweak it anyway that i could but it just doesn't sound right.

I finish hooking up the denon last night and watch a movie. the sound was amazing. the center and rear sound seem so crisp and clear. i heard sound coming from the rear speaker that i did not hear with onkyo. i will definitely keep the denon. my next purchase will be a better set of speaker that everyone recommend here.

Glad we could help. When your ready to upgrade speakers check back. But in the meantime, follow the forums here, see what others recommend, and do some research so you have a better understanding of this crazy hobby.:D

Your Onkyo must have been poorly setup. The sound quality from the Onkyo and Denon should be sideways with both setup properly. The differences you are talking about are simply not possible otherwise. The receiver has very little to do with SQ.
