I had to send my Denon AV4806 back to Denon for repair. For some reason all the HDMI functions quit working. They are now offering a 1080p upgrade for $500.00.
My question is would you go for the upgrade or just purchase a scaler like the ones Gefen makes for about the same price? I figure if I decide to get rid of the Denon, at least I'd still have the scaler.
