Hi Ganti,
You cannot upgrade a receiver to enable it to accept HDMI cables. You simply need to get a new one that has HDMI inputs.

I don't have the background with HDMI (or interest to research it), but this looks like a product for $100 from Outlaw Audio that would solve your issue? Or perhaps a similar future product could resolve the same problem for a more evolved scenario?

It splits the audio out (but only 2 channel) and passes the HDMI on to the TV.
