upconvert-dvd players (non-HD/Blue Ray)

Before I plunk down my $200 (to replace my $1000 Arcam DV78) for an Oppo H971, any new upconverting via HDMI/DVI I should audition or consider? I have a Panasonic PT-AE700U that needs a quality video source behind it. Thanks.

PS Oppo vs. Samsung vs. Denon recomendations? (video only, audio via digital coax into Arcam AVR 250). TP

The Oppo is probably the best in the $200.00 price range, if you intend to use the DVI connection.

Good choice. I would have thrown in Panasonic and ruled out Samsung for ya had I noticed the tread earlier. Also, Neuneo is not bad.

79 at Walmart Cyberhome 655. Press Menu the 1 and 9 together to open the menu that will give you region free.

Also a HDMI cable is free included.

This is the last DVD player before i go to BluRay, Cheerz to the chinks at Cyberhome awesome labor camp job.
