Unknown speaker question...

I picked up a pair of JBL J830M's from a guy for cheap ($25). I don't know much about audio, and so I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they are decent speakers worth using. I tested them, and they sounded good, but I am not an audiophile. Thanks

I guess I asked the wrong question. I figure they are fairly old speakers, as I could not find much information about them online. From a technical standpoint, are they good speakers? I did not test them very in-depth, and my assessment was based on the price/performance ratio (got them for $25), so as long as they worked, I would have been happy with them. Has anyone else had any experience with these speakers?

None of us are "audiophiles".

The only way to tell if they are decent speakers IMO is to audition them with some other speakers. It's all about what sounds best to you.

For $25 bucks I would say they are decent.
