universal remote

I have a fairly simple system- Samsung HL-P5063W, Yamaha RX-V1500, Yamaha DVD S-1500, HD digital cable box, and a Monster PowerCenter HTS 2500.
I want to run the system off a universal remote. Does anyone have any experience with the Yamaha RAV 2000? . It would seem a natural choice since my AVR and DVD/SACD player is also Yamaha. I wouldn't seem to need the sophistication of a Pronto TSU 3000. Any suggestion?
