Universal Electronics Inc. announced that Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America has selected UEI to supply universal remote control devices for their television products. The supply relationship spans a comprehensive range of Mitsubishi remotes, including those that will be bundled with the company's high definition Diamond Series televisions. UEI remotes will be available in early summer of 2006 and are slated to ship with a comprehensive lineup of Mitsubishi high definition televisions. All we can say is: "It's about time" (Mitsu remotes are some of the worst in terms of design - but perhaps not for long!)
