Purchased this concert dvd the other day. Shot in 8mm film, the picture is not that great. You do get DD 5.1 and DTS 5.1, but still not the best SQ dvd by far.
But, what you do get is a shocking performance of two musicians ripping through 24 songs without even taking a breath.
They stop once to talk to the crowd briefly, then right back to it. After the 24 songs, they come back for a two song encore.
There is an easter egg of what looks like Jack and Meg taking inventory of their crew, but nothing else. It's all music.
This is a must have for a White Stripes fan.
This is a must have for a rock guitar fan.
I would say, if you liked Curt Cobain, you will like the White Stripes.
Imagine Janis Joplin on vocals, Jimmy Page on guitar, Charlie Watts on drums, performing the music of Curt Cobain. That's my take.
