Looks good. How do you control the components at the back of the room? RF remote or 180° twist?

Very clean installation and the front speaker placement is better than most. Not my first color choice but to each his own.

I like the idea of having your AV equipment out of sight while viewing the display. Nice touch.

Really nice job, especially considering the space limitations. The second row seating looks like it is better situated for audio. I may have moved the surround speakers back to suit the second row even better. Front row seems to be too close to the center of the room but I realize there is nothing much you can do about that.

Still, I like what you have done and I can appreciate the need to compromise when space is limited. I love the look of flat panels but I see a front projection roll down screen and projector in your upgrade future.:)

Do you have an equipment list we can check out?

Congratulations!! I am sure you, your family, and friends really enjoy the space.

The equipment list. Think a future PJ is a no go though...

There is the equipment list you asked about.(below) And, I don't know if I'll ever be able to work a projector into that room. The ceiling is only 6 feet 9 inches from the floor. In regard to the 2nd row height and the possible line of sight restrictions, with the way we built the riser, when someone is seated in front of you, you are able to get an unblocked view of the entire screen, just so long as the person in the front row isn't 6 6" or above. In those rare cases, the person in the front only needs to go into the first stage of the recline, which is just like sitting upright with a footrest. That's the way I watch everything anyway!(I'm only 5 11") We mounted the Plasma at a pretty good height too. So no one misses a thing, Thank God! The side surrounds, came with a swiveling type of speaker mount(looks like a ball joint)that lets you change the direction(up ,down, and all around) of the speaker with just a little bit of effort, still leaving the speaker in a firm position once you've made the desired adjustment. It's ironic though, because when I bought those surrounds (Tannoy Arena Highline sats), they did not come with the special mounts that are needed to mount them to the wall. So I had to shell out another $300 just for the mounts(pair) because they are specifically made for those speakers, with all the appropriate holes, screws, and Tannoy engravings on them. What a bunch of Bullsh#t that was! Good thing I found a company that had a pair (the mounts) on sale for the $300 I paid, because every certified Tannoy dealer I called, wanted like $200 to $250 for each mount! Again, All together now, "What a bunch of Bullsh#t!!"

Hey, does anyone know where I can order some movie posters, that they frame, and then send to you, without charging you $140.00, like AllPoster.com did for that "Blues Brothers" framed poster that you see in my HT? I still can't believe I paid that much money for that framed poster! It is a nice addition to my room though. :) Take care all. Joe B.

"One more thing"

Yes, Unfortunately, I do, do the 180 degree twist, to remote control everything right now. My IR extender crapped out, and it's dead as a door nail. So until I can pull the trigger on a Touch Screen type of universal remote, I am stuck with a continuos sore neck.:(
I'll survive for a few more months.
