My classic 1980's Pioneer VSX 9500S receiver seems to be losing it's left channel!! It keeps cutting out intermittently. Not good.... Probably an easy fix(loose connection) caused by resting on a speaker, but that's besides the point!!

This receiver actually sees a lot of 2-channel use in the garage.
(believe it or not)

My thoughts.....
It only seems natural that my current HT receiver (4yrs old) gets demoted to garage duty, and that I upgrade my HT-receiver?

Don't ya think? Makes sense, right?


My wife thinks otherwise!!

I picked up a new receiver today

The above will now serve HT duty. My RX-V2500 will now go into garage duty. Problem solved.....

Or.......I could just bridge the two for extra power?

....naw....just kidding. The bottom receiver is off to garage duty!!

You are disappointing me with that logical conclusion. I was expecting you to somehow blame it on Obama...

But seriously my first guess from it's location that it probably just needs a shot of Tuner-wash inside it's volume pot.

HEH......it only figures, right? I should also add that I've been back/through most of the owners manual several times over the past 24 hrs.
IMO...that's part of the fun of buying a new toy. Ya know...experimenting and getting to know it intimately well with the manual in hand.
