tx-sr875 a/v sync problem with bluray dvd

I have my Onkyo tx-sr875 hooked up to my Sony bluray DVD player via an HDMI cable. I have read were video trails audio but in this case the audio is.

I have made a number of adjustments to no avail. The received does support a/v sync but I can not get the picture and audio in sync.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have had to reset or boot everything at times but not with those two items.

Have you tried hooking up the DVD player directly the to TV and running the audio to the Onkyo via TOSlink? If you cannot get the A/V sync options on the Onkyo to work properly, at least try to get your equipment functional so you can enjoy your movies!
