TX-NR609 not communicating with Windows 7 and/or network

Hi
I am a newbie having difficulty getting my PC (Windows 7 with Media Player 12.0) and the TX-NR609 to recognize each other and stream.
My computer doesnt see the TX-NR609 on our home wireless network, and when I hit NET on the remote for the TX-NR609, and then try using the arrow buttons to try to select "dlna" as it says in the directions (page 27), nothing happens.
Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

How is your network set up?

The receiver has a wired ethernet port and will not automatically be recognized on an all wireless network without the use of a wireless bridge.
