OK..not to sound retarded, but I can't get the speaker wires in the receiver. It says to unscrew the red and black things where the speaker wire goes in, insert the wire and screw it in, but the wire doesn't catch..it falls right out..what am I doing wrong?

The holes to insert the cable into is actually on the post after you unscrew the speaker jacks get yourself a light and the wires go into the holes on the side of the posts. Then screw the posts back down on the wire.

If i'm connecting all components via HDMI, do I need any other wires? I'm doing my cable box HDMI to the receiver. TV HDMI to Receiver and PS3 HDMI to receiver.

Do I Need optical wires for anything?

I'm getting Video, but NO SOUND :(

Not sure, but when I read my manual(Onkyo DTR-5.9) connecting game console, it still asks me to connect an rca cable to the av receiver even if HDMI supports both audio and video.

Try checking your manual.

I got the audio working on the PS3, I had to connect optical as well...I guess I need ANOTHER optical for my cable box to receive sound now..

Setting this up is so different than my older receiver..that was just plug and play..this is all high tech with assigning HDMI inputs and speaker calibration lol
