Here is my question: Is it ok to connect two different rigs(say my new RX2600 and a tube setup) to the biampable imputs on my speakers? So I would have one set of speaker cables from the tube 2ch setup and another from the reciver. Is a bad idea ? I guess I could just switch out the cables depending on which system I want to use.

.....should not be a problem with your bi-amping two sections of the speakers with different posts....I would try the tube setup on the mids/highs....and, of course, you're going to have to Y the sources to both setups, or, run the signals out the pre-outs of the receiver to the tube setup.....

.....guys, you can run the pre-amped signals in and out of 14 whatevers, as long as the last thing you run it to, is amplification, and a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link....tell 'em mule sent ya'.......
