Probably the worst movie I've seen this year.

I like movies about drug sub-culture, but sometimes they get it and sometimes they don't. Requiem for a Dream got it, but so did Pineapple Express in their own way and subs of the sub. Traffic, although well received, didn't. It just wasn't drug culture - it was obviously made by people who didn't know drugs....it was made by the kids that did 'hugs not drugs.' Not that not doing drugs is wrong, it's just that I'd have a hard time writing a story about being a ballet dancer because...well...I never ballet danced and know nothing about it.

Not really a spoiler ahead, but, I guess kind of....
This movie is kind of like Traffic, in that it says that white kids try drugs, get hooked, and sleep with minorities for more.
The movie follows a guy called "White Mike" (he's white and his name is Mike...damn, great writing) who wholesale buys from 50 Cent. 50 Cent, for someone to claims in his raps to have cooked crack, isn't a very convincing drug dealer. It plays on all the themes that rich white kids are left alone while their parents do socially acceptable drugs, and don't even ask a question when they find mysterious vials as to what the drug is.... I mean, yeah, girls will drop acid and stuff, but they don't just see a tab on a table and be like 'hey, what's this, let's find out!!!!'

Oh, and for those who were unfortunate enough to see it:
The movie starts on Thursday with the girl trying Twelve, and then by Saturday she is getting banged for more? Damn, that's fast! You'd think she'd sell some **** or steal some jewels from mom before that route. I mean, damn, not even Sunday yet.

I could go on, but, the whole idea of this thread is to tell you:

Don't bother. 0/10

Have you seen Spun? I believe it was with Brittany Murphy. Check that one out if you haven't seen it - it was pretty good.
