Sitting here at my desk on a Sunday morning drinking my coffee, something dawned on me. My iPhone 6 is sitting on my desk in my handy holder and at an extreme angle the screen is perfectly crisp, clear, accurate, and saturated. It looks like a plasma screen. The viewing angle is literally 180 degrees and it exhibits virtually none of the problems associated with LCD displays. Black levels are also awesome. In a totally dark room with an alarm clock app open with white text on a black background it would be tough to tell that it's not an OLED display.
Why can't they make TV's like this? Is it a scaling problem? Cost issue? If LCD TV's looked like my iPhone I would not be missing plasma so much.
