Hi

I just bought a new Samsung - 55" LED Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV for our gold coast home.I wish to install it in the wall. There are pre packaged equipment available in the market to do that. But is it be wise to do it by myself or i better call an wall mount installer for that ? Can anybody share their experience on TV wall mounting please ?

Thanks :)

You should be fine to install it yourself. Just be sure to get mount with correct vesa mounts for your TV and high enough carry capacity so it wont collapse. What material is your wall? If it is concrete wall then you will be fine with just drilling holes and using anchor screws. If you have some kind of board/sheet material walls then you want to mount it on the support structures so it wont fall down.

I've done three different mounts myself with no issues. All were in drywall, screwed into the nearest studs. I went with brand name mounts (Sanus and Peerless) but I've heard that the cheaper Monoprice mounts are good enough.
