I need some help with my denon 3805. I want to run the setup on my tv. My tv is connected to the monitor out with a normal yellow coax cable. My problem is that my tv screen is flickering, it does show the setup but I can hardly read it. Does someone know a sollution for this problem?

Thanx.

Can you use a different video cable (S-video, component)?

No I can't use another cable. My tv is a bit old. Maybe is that the problem of this? I use the a yellow coax cable and put it in a scart connector in my tv.

From the 3805 owner's manual (Step 5, Part 6 in System Setup):

5-6 Setting the On Screen Display (OSD)
• Use this to turn the on-screen display (messages other than the menu screens) on or off.
• Sets the on-screen display’s display mode.
Mode 1: Prevents flickering of the on-screen display when there is no video signal.
Mode 2: Flickering is not prevented.
Use this mode if the on-screen display does not appear in the mode 1, as may happen according to the TV being used.

Maybe this will help.

BTW, if your TV is so old that it doesn't even have S-Video, maybe it's time to upgrade? :D
