Do one of you know of a solid LCD mount I could install to the back of a wood credenza holidng my audio gear and 46" TV?I dont want to mount it to the wall.

My plan is to raise the TV a few inches off the top so I can set my center on the top shelf.(it wont fit in the middle shelves)

The cabinet is solid wood and stands 2ft tall. My center is 7 inches tall.

Or if you know of a solid wood cabinet with a mount for nder 500 that would work to. The one I currently have is like this.

its simple. the tv has mounting holes on the back. get 2 3+ foot long boards. 1x4"s would probably work better. drill holes in the boards that match the mounting holes on the tv. then mount the boards to the tv.

on the back of the cabinet where those 2 boards would come down to. look for solid wood. (if there isn't any, add more boards to the back). hold the tv where you want it. then have a buddy drive screws to join the boards to the back of the stand.

i could do all this in less time than it took me to type this.

Thanks for the reply. I knew there was a easy way to do it. I just didnt want to try and make my own way and have a 46" tv hit the floor one day.

J_garcia thanks for the reply, but I cant justify the price on that stand.

I have recently purchased Parker House Hun-75x expandable unit listed on the the net for over $700.00 from a place locally called Mor Furniture for $499.00. The unit expands up to 70-72 inches wide and the middle shelves when expanded are over 9 inches high over another the only one so far able to accommodate for my center speaker that I could find at a reasonable price. Strongly recommend this one and hope you stay away from Sauder products unless you like cheap particle boards that are not worth 2 cents regardless how attractive they may look in my humble opinion (Walmart quality).

Good luck in your search:)
