TV issues with surround sound

Hello. I have an Anthem 1120 running a 7.1 surround system. My speakers are Paradigm except my sub. When I watch a movie. My 4k blueray player would shut off after about 10 minutes. I would turn it back on and it would play for about 10 minutes and shut off. It's an LG 4k player and my tv is an LG 4k. Is there something I can look for as far as settings? It only goes it when going through the Anthem. If I watch videos straight to the tv there is no issues. Thank you. Larry

Sounds like some sort of sleep timer might be turned on. Maybe turn HDMI controls off to see if that clears it up. Might simply try a soft reset to see if that clears it up (unplug it for a while), and maybe a full microprocessor reset.

I made sure I turned off the sleep timers and auto shut off when I first set up the system as per the dealer. I will try to find any software updates that may be needed. I wasn't sure if there was a specific way of using the HDMI ports. It is plugged into the ARC on the tv and receiver. This is baffling. lol Thank you.

ARC can have issues, one reason I mentioned turning HDMI Control (HDMI-CEC) off. Doubt its a firmware update or do you see that as a specifically listed update?

Make sure that HDMI-CEC or 'HDMI CONTROL' is turned off on all of your devices. HDMI-CEC is horrendous for most setups and often causes issues like you are describing.

You can try to bypass the receiver and see if the same issue occurs with the BD player plugged right into the TV, but if it doesn't fix the problem, then there may be a real issue with the player itself.

Thank you for the advice. I will make sure the HDMI control is off. I don't have anything saying a software update is available. It was just an after thought. Thank you for your help.
