Turn off your subs for $16!

In my experience, the "Auto Off" feature on subs has been spotty at best. Consequently, my subs have been staying on 24/7.

Circuit City (via Amazon) is selling the Monster PowerCenter 775G for $16 shipped (MSRP $70).
I decided to order one, and just hooked it up with my Denon AVR-x4000 plugged into the control outlet and both of the subs plugged into the controlled (switched) outlets. Works perfect in my setup!

There are three controlled outlets, three "always on" outlets and the control outlet. Only one "always on" outlet has clearance for a wall wort without blocking another outlet.
Also 2160 Joules surge protection and $400,000 warranty, though I don't know if those warranties mean much.

But its Monster. I won't buy anything from them no matter the discount.

That bad, hunh? Care to share your experience(s)?
I generally stay away from them simply because they routinely charge anywhere from 2 to 10 times what the item is worth and their products are designed more for looks than function. Closeouts change that game.
What can I say? I am a whore for a good deal!:(

PS - Sorry to hear your system was stolen. That Sucks.

No specific experiences I will speak to. I don't have problems with their products actually, just their pricing mainly. I've gotten plenty of products that cost far less than theirs that are equal to or outperform theirs for a lot less in most cases. The days of them being able to charge a huge premium simply for their name seem to be over because consumers have caught on to them for that.

Yeah, they got my whole second system a while back. It is back up and running with some less expensive replacement gear now

That IS a good deal though :)

Bought one...can't beat the price. I use some generic version I bought from Amazon a few years ago and it is great for powering on amps with no triggers. The generic version was more expensive than this one....
