tSc surround speaker question.

Hello everyone!

I have the tSc TSS-dipolar speakers as my left and right surrounds. My question is; Should I get another pair of the TSS-diapolars for my back surrounds or should I just get a pair of regular front firing speakers? I know the diapolars cost more and m not to concerned about that. I just want to know which set up will sound better and would there be a real difference in the sound.

I have the tSc TST3s as my main front left and rights and I also have their C2 as the center channel.

These are the ones I have right now for my left and right surrounds:

If I dont get another pair of the TSS-diapolars for the back surrounds, these are the other options that I've been thinking about for my back surrounds:

Thanks in advance for your input!

My two cents are to keep the speakers as matched as possible. Those dipoles are probably better suited for wall-mounting (is that your plan?).

As a fellow tSc owner, I am curious as to your opinion on the TS3. How are the low ends (ie 150Hz - 500Hz?) Do you have a separate sub? What is the rest of your gear?

I can only parrot Dolby Labs in their speaker setup guide....they use mono-polar speakers aimed at the listening area. Dipole speakers can work very well for the sides, where you have a lot of soundstage to create, but monos may be better suited for the rears where the sound would be more directional.
