Trying to uncomplicate pool speakers

I am really struggling to get good, honest answers about setting up pool/ patio speakers. I currently have a Yamaha RX-A3010 set up with Monitor Audio CL60's on the patio connected to Zone 2. My living room home theater is within about 10 feet from the patio and I do get very slight delay between Main and Zone 2. I am building a pool and want to add a pair of Klipsch AWR650SM rock speakers to the far side of the pool which will be about 25' from the patio speakers.
I am trying to figure out how I can A) get the best sound out of all four speakers B) control the volume on the patio speakers independent of the pool speakers.
I am assuming the pool speakers would go on Zone 3 but I am very concerned I may not have enough power to get good sound and that I may get the delay and have an echo effect.
Anybody have any ideas on how I can do this without spending a fortune? Thanks for the help!

Hi Barry,

First, welcome to the Forum!

If you can’t control the secondary zones from the Yamaha, it will require a separate amplifier/preamp, fed by the Zone 2 and/or 3 RCA outputs. An older lower-end receiver with remote control, if you need that, would do the trick for minimal expense.

Delay will require outboard processing as well. Again, older home theater receiver could do the trick, if it will allow the delay to be set manually. Keep mind that it’ll be nearest speakers that will require the delay.

Wayne,
Thank you for the welcome and the reply. My wife, who knows absolutely nothing about this subject, actually came up with a good idea last night. She suggested getting the speakers I want and hooking them up to my receiver to see how much sound and control I can get. I don't know why it never dawned on me to do that first before I buy any additional equipment. Guess I'll be doing that this weekend.
Thank you for your input. I sincerely appreciate it!

Hi Barry, welcome.
You won't need a lot of power to feed those speakers.
According to their specs:
  • handles up to 50 watts
  • sensitivity 94 dB
  • 8-ohm impedance
