G'day Guys,

I have a 80Wrms Active Sub-woofer which I have currently running off my PC via "front speaker" jack on the PC's motherboard.
All is fine I am getting great sound reproduction from the SUB-WOOFER.

Now my next mission is this..

I want to now connect Satellite Speakers to the SUB-WOOFER's High-Level OUTPUT which are speaker terminals much like what you find on the back of hi-fi receiver/amplifiers.

IS THIS POSSIBLE?
CAN YOU RUN SATELLITE SPEAKERS FROM THE SUB-WOOFER'S HIGH-LEVEL OUTPUTS WHEN THE SOUND SOURCE IS COMING INTO THE SUB-WOOFER VIA THE LOW-LEVEL INPUT?

Cheers,

don't know aye? just need some separation.. decent output and S/N.. got the active sub on like at 20% and a heaps low cut-over hopefully get a cheap receiver on optics.. with half decent bookshelves (speakers) wall mounted.. nice a neat off the floor.. u got any ideas?

At the moment got BAUHN 42" 200Hz 1080p LCD, P4 3.2 @ 1Gb + 200Gb H/D + 500GbSATA Ext + DVD + ATI RADEON HD4350 V/C @ 512Mb + AC'97 M/B SOUND, 80W ACTIVE S/W.. in a 3.5mx3.5m room.. still building...running high frequencies on a 17" monitor speaks ATM (cheapo)

(thought) I need wall mounted speakers .. you know 2 channel HI-FI solution.. not to expensive.. I can run either optical or 3.5mm outs from the PC.. not gonna bother with HDMI.. speakers need to be wall mountable .. lol I'm on a mission

eaerken,

You haven't said exactly what model of subwoofer you have. That makes a difference as to how you connect other speakers to it. There are way too many different designs for people to guess.

However, if you want quality sound from the PC, things probably will be easier to interconnect if you get a receiver that has an optical digital audio input. Some audio cards produce very high quality analog audio, but motherboard audio chipsets usually do not.

I dunno what speakers are easily available in your part of the world, so I'm not sure what to recommend. Listening to them yourself at a local A/V store would be best, if that's possible.
