Watched "The Dark Knight" and "The Matrix" last night, and after switching between the DD and the TrueHD tracks I noticed that the DD almost sounds better in the low end. I upped the sub +3db and it improved but still feels light on the low end... and i dont just mean with explosions its all around: music, sound effects, punches ect. DTSHD tracks sound AMAZING and rattle the house but im not a fan of the DDTrueHD. Ideas??

What is your system? Receiver, Sub, size of room, etc.

I would re-run YPAO. TrueHD should be rocking your world. Especially The Dark Knight.
Dunno bout Matrix don't own it.

You will find a difference in Bass management (ie..volume) when you switch between formats. DTS stuff is more bass 'hot' and DD less so. Even when I listen to HDCD, SACD music sources the bass is different volume wise. It also depends on how the bass was managed in each particular recording process.

At the end of the day, All I do is lower or raise the subs volume so that it sounds right for that particular source.

Also in many cases, you can go into the menus of your AVR and customize the sub's output for each individual source format it decodes.
