I'm using a Harman Kardon AVR-110 receiver w/ DirecTV TiVO DVR receiver set to Dolby Digital. I've noticed that particularly Fox Sports is boasting of broadcasting in "true" Dolby Digital 5.1 sound, yet my receiver, using an optical audio connection is still receiving a PCM digital input, meaning that I can't select the Dolby Digital 5.1 setting on my receiver. I can only set to Logic 7 or 5 CH, and the speaker display is still only inidcating 2 speaker channels.
Am I doing something wrong, or is the signal not truly 5.1 audio? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
