Troubleshooting request: no sound from Run Lola Run blu-ray

I don't watch movies much - when I use my disk player, it's usually for an SACD or DVD-A - so my apologies if this question is exceptionally stupid with an obvious answer.

I bought Lola Rennt on Blu-Ray probably back in 2009 or 2010, but I don't know if I've ever watched it.

I get sound in the beginning (trailer, studio logo, in DD 3/2 per my AVR's display) but not during the feature.

During the feature, I get no sound in any mode (English or German TrueHD, the other included languages, English 5.1 presumably DD).

Perhaps related, there's annoying time-lapse bar on the bottom, that I don't remember from the DVD.

My Blu-Ray player flashes "Dolby TrueHD" but my AVR says "no signal."

Furthermore, when I put in the Spears and Munsil test disk, the intro is in TrueHD, and it passes to the AVR without issue.

Relevant portions of the signal chain are: Oppo BDP-83 with latest firmware, Anthem MRX 300 with latest firmware v. 50.19 firmware.

Any ideas? Just a bum disk?

There are a few things you can try.

1. Set the Oppo to LPCM instead of bitstreaming.
2. Try turning your receiver off and back on while the problem is occurring.
3. Try a different HDMI cable.

I would suspect the the HDMI cable is the likely culprit but it may be some weird handshaking thing as well.

IMO if it was a bum disc, it would likely not play or jump around. I had this disc but sold it, but I don't recall having issues with it on my 83SE. What firmware are you seeing as the latest from Oppo? There was one just recently released a month or so ago.
